Dubai is poised to elevate its global reputation with the Al Mamzar Beach Development Project, a visionary two-phase endeavor valued at AED400 million. With completion targeted for the end of 2025, this groundbreaking initiative aims to redefine beach tourism in the emirate through innovative designs, state-of-the-art facilities, and a commitment to sustainability.
A Trailblazing Beach Destination
Spanning 125,000 square meters and featuring a width of 80 meters, Al Mamzar Corniche Beach is set to become a premier coastal destination. The project boasts an impressive array of facilities, including a dedicated public beach for women. Designed with privacy and safety at its core, the women’s beach will offer exclusive amenities such as night swimming facilities, a sports club, commercial services, and children’s play areas.
Additionally, the development will include jogging, walking, and cycling tracks that link Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park. This seamless connection between the creek and corniche areas represents the region’s first convergence of beach paths with park spaces, delivering a unique and immersive visitor experience.
World-Class Facilities and Smart Services
Al Mamzar Corniche Beach will feature several high-end amenities, including:
- A 5,000-square-meter events area for seasonal activities and celebrations.
- A 2,000-square-meter skateboarding zone, catering to urban sports enthusiasts.
- Expansive green spaces landscaped to international standards.
Public health and wellness are at the forefront of the project, with facilities such as changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and accommodations for people of determination. Smart technology will enhance safety and convenience through AI-supported surveillance systems, drowning rescue tools, crowd management technologies, and smart luggage lockers.
To further enrich the visitor experience, waterfront restaurants, food outlets, and recreational spaces will be integrated, fostering economic growth while ensuring an exceptional tourism experience.
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Badr Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the project’s alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. “Our goal is to showcase Dubai’s uniqueness by implementing pioneering projects that combine advanced, sustainable infrastructure with modern designs,” Anwahi stated. He also highlighted how the project supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to establish Dubai as the world’s best city to live, work, and visit.
The first phase of the project, launched in June last year, is already 45% complete. Covering 275,000 square meters, it includes a 200-meter pedestrian pontoon bridge connecting both banks of the creek, along with a 300-meter-long night swimming beach designed to be accessible for people of determination. Additional features include a 5-kilometer walkway, three children’s play areas, barbecue spots, jet ski marinas, and extensive parking facilities.
A Vision for the Future
With the Al Mamzar Beach Development Project, Dubai is not only setting a new benchmark for beach tourism but also reinforcing its position as a leading global destination. The integration of sustainability, innovation, and aesthetics reflects the emirate’s forward-thinking approach and unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
As the project nears completion, Al Mamzar Beach is poised to become a symbol of Dubai’s ambition and a testament to its ability to redefine global standards in tourism and infrastructure.
