Celebrated as the world’s largest Chinese mall outside China, this milestone is being commemorated with a Guinness World Record™ for the world’s largest fortune cookie, alongside a host of vibrant cultural activities.
Guinness World Record™: The Largest Fortune Cookie Ever
In collaboration with the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA) Dubai, Dragon Mart unveiled a monumental fortune cookie weighing an astonishing 2.286 kilograms. Measuring 30 cm in height and 58 cm in length, this culinary marvel was meticulously crafted by expert instructors from ICCA’s baking and patisserie programs.
Adding to the excitement, a towering sculpture inspired by the record-breaking cookie now graces Dragon Mart’s Main Hall. At 4 meters tall and 6 meters wide, this larger-than-life installation celebrates the essence of Chinese culture while serving as a centerpiece for the mall’s two decades of success in the UAE.
Fortune Cookie Treasure Hunt and Cultural Showcase
To engage visitors, Dragon Mart has launched an intriguing fortune cookie treasure hunt. From now until January 8, 2025, shoppers can uncover hidden fortune cookies across the mall, guided by clues shared on social media. Prizes include exclusive Dragon Mart products, adding an element of fun and surprise to the celebrations.
Cultural festivities will immerse guests in traditional Chinese heritage:
- Ribbon Dance: Performers gracefully twirl vibrant ribbons, creating mesmerizing patterns that symbolize joy and freedom.
- Fan Dance: A cherished art form dating back over two thousand years, this traditional performance highlights the depth of Chinese folk culture.
- Dragon Dance: A visually stunning spectacle where performers bring a legendary dragon to life, embodying strength and prosperity.
- Chinese Calligraphy: Live demonstrations and workshops will offer families the opportunity to learn and create intricate Chinese lanterns.
From December 20 to 24, entertainment will run daily between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., with additional workshops extending through December 28.
